NEURAC Introduction Course
NEURAC Introduction course a is a specially designed education system for physical therapists or MD who want to learn the basic principles of using Redcord Suspension Treatment and the Neurac method. It is a practical and theoretical course that emphasizes on active participation. The course includes a manual with illustrations and descriptions. NEURAC is built on clinical testing, decision making, treatment techniques for different body regions, and the activation of local and global muscles.
- Topics Covered:
a. Neuromuscular control and musculoskeletal dysfunction.
b. Introduction to the helping hand principle as a therapeutic assist.
c. NEURAC testing to identify weak links related to local motor control and myofascial chains.
d. NEURAC treatment for local motor control and myofascial chains.
- Learning Objectives:
a. Know the various elements in a Redcord workstation and its practical application.
b. Know when NEURAC is indicated based on an understanding of how pain affects neuromuscular control.
c. Know the NEURAC testing principles, evaluate, and score NEURAC tests to explore weak links.
d. Gain skills applying basic techniques and exercises in NEURAC treatment to treat weak links.
e. Understand the relevance of transfer to improve function and the importance of the “assessment-treatment-reassessment” procedure.
f. Know the importance of exercise to maintain treatment results and reduce the risk of relapses.
- Methodology:
a. Plenary sessions: theoretical presentations delivered by the presenter.
b. Short discussions and detailed demonstrations as learning activities.
c. Application of all skills in small groups as learning activities.
d. Case studies to benefit from the experience of the participants and involve them in the subject matter.
Please note that:
a. The Course Fees include the Course Material (in English or French), and a Certification from Norway.
b. Payments are to be issued in full by the participant before the completion of the course.
c. Please note that you have to be present minimum 80% of the training hours to qualify for a certificate.
d. Number of Participants: 8 – 12 participants per course divided into groups of 4 for the practical sessions (please dress accordingly).
e. Participants will apply the main technical skills with the coaching of a trainer until every participant has reached a satisfactory degree of proficiency.
f. Seats are allotted on the basis of first-come first-served.
g. Certificates from Norway will be delivered at the end of the course.
