Founded in December 2017 in Lebanon by the dynamic duo Ralph Nseir, an entrepreneur, and Nour El Khazen, a Doctor in physical therapy, Waterbear was born out of a shared commitment to revolutionize the physiotherapy industry.

Our Timeline
Foundation of Innovation
Founded in a 25 sqm clinic space, with a vision to revolutionize physiotherapy in the region. Achieved exclusive distributorship for Redcord and introduced Neurac therapy across MENA, setting the foundation for innovation-driven care.
Scaling Expertise
Expanded to a 200 sqm clinic with a team of 10 therapists, offering diverse therapies. Became exclusive distributor for Qinematic and BTS, incorporating advanced tech for movement and biomechanics analysis.
Operational Excellence
Enhanced business operations by developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and business KPIs with USAID support, strengthening scalability and service standards.
Integrated Holistic Care
Grew to 20 therapists and introduced Nutrition and Mental Health services to promote holistic care. Engaged in research and digital data analysis with University Saint Joseph (USJ), advancing our evidence-based approach.
Regional Expansion
Launched Waterbear Ltd. in Cyprus and gained licensing to open clinics in Saudi Arabia, marking a major step toward regional expansion and accessibility.
Brand Cohesion & Growth
Established Waterbear Holding, expanding clinic locations and enhancing service offerings, creating a cohesive brand across MENA and Europe.
International Headquarters
Opening the Waterbear HQ in Cyprus, broadening our business development and sales operations throughout MENA, Cyprus, and Greece. Solidified sole distributorship of Redcord in these regions, affirming our commitment to innovation in physiotherapy and healthcare.
